Lovely working example of a simple but effective automata design. I use these and the Timbertech Cam kits to teach my year 6 DT students the principles of cams and linkages. You won't find anything better for the price.

Many thanks for the kind words Julia, that's really appreciated!!

Not the most complex automata to make but it certainly makes a splash :)

If you've never built an automata kit before, this would be a very good place to start. Straight forward to make and a nice finished piece of automata to operate and admire.

I'm a teacher and I bought this to show my class how cams work. I got my partner to build it last weekend. The kit is simple and effective for class demonstations and my colleagues have used it too. I also like that it's sturdy (......well none of my pupils have broken it yet!)

I have built a few Timberkits in the past, they are always very good kits with instructions that are easy to follow. This is a fairly simple kit to build compared to some others so if you haven't built many in the past then this would be a good one to choose.
