Build Your Own Kit - Bat Detector

I am 70 now, spent my last 50 years as a electronic's engineer. The main problem with any build is cost and will it work. this kit fixes both problems, the PCB is built, so it works, and it's good value. last winter I had mice in with my classic motor bikes. luckily they did not destroy anything of value, but they do need to go. So I purchased 8 ultrasonic pest controllers and the bat detector was very useful to listen to them working, so far no spiders or mice.

Really impressed with the bat detector, considering the price. Bought this for a youth group to build and use. It was easy enough for children (some with special needs) to build. On the first use there were no bats around but they enjoyed using it to listen the ultrasound noise from jangling keys and emitted from electronic devices (as mentioned in the manual). Manual is clear and well written

Bat Monitor Eight,
With this bat monitor on my first bat walk I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and ease of operation of this device.
When operating I just needed to adjust the volume to hear the output and then adjust the frequency dial for best output for the type of bat flying around me.
This is an ideal starter Monitor for young and old alike.

I have loads of pipistrel bats so looking forward to using this. All tests on it work fine and it seems to work as well as mainstream bat detectors I have used before. For £20 you get the opportunity to understand how it fits together, and pay 10% or less of the alternative options. I will update if possible when more data. Meanwhile this Mad Mad Factory is a blast.

Everything you need - bar the battery - with clear instructions and simple assembly. And it works, picking up the bat chatter. Case is a strong card, to be expected at this price.
